Travellers heading between Thamesville and Ridgetown can expect some minor delays over the next few weeks.
Lane reductions will be in effect over the Victoria Road Bridge for the next month or so to connect the road to the new span.
While that work is going on, larger vehicles will be re-routed over Kent Bridge or Little John Road.
Municipal officials say once this work is finished, the new Thamesville Bridge will be open to traffic and the existing bridge will be closed and prepared for demolition.
