An arrest has been made in Chatham-Kent following a string of robberies and thefts in Lakeshore.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to a report of a robbery in the community of Lighthouse Cove on Tuesday just before 8:30 a.m. Authorities said one person is believed to be responsible for several robberies and motor vehicle thefts throughout several Lakeshore communities.
The West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, Canine Unit, and Aviation Services were all utilized to locate a male suspect in the area of Highway 401 and Bloomfield Road, who was then arrested without incident.
Further details about the suspect have not been released at this time.
