Tickets are now on sale for the rescheduled Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame banquet.

Set for Saturday, April 30th at the UAW Hall on Elm Drive, the dinner will include special guest speaker broadcaster Rod Black from CTV and TSN.

Kevin McGaffey has been named the 2022 Male Athlete inductee, while Anne Marie Fraleigh takes the women’s honours.

2022 Coach or official inductee is John Babbitt, Jackie Burnett is going in the Builder category, and this year’s team inductee is the 1984 intermediate Griffin lacrosse team.

With no induction dinner last year because of the pandemic, the 2021 honours are also being handed out, including Emily VanDamme as Athlete of the Year, Tyler Davis for Outstanding Achievement, Bill Bunda as the 2021 Coach of the Year, and the late Aaron VanDorsselaer as Builder of the Year.

The banquet was originally slated to be held January 26th but was delayed by COVID restrictions.
