Charges have been laid against a Chatham man after a fight with his roommate turned violent.
Chatham-Kent Police were called to a Canal Street residence in Tilbury around 6 o’clock Wednesday evening.
Authorities say the victim fled the scene and told police the accused was still inside, potentially armed with a weapon, even though no weapon was seen or used during the attack.
The accused was arrested following a traffic stop in Chatham some time later. The 27-year-old has been charged with assault and robbery, and was held in custody for a bail hearing.
