Local residents are being asked to lace up their shoes to raise money to support children in need.
The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation will host the second annual Run for the Kids at Rondeau Provincial Park this Sunday, with participants will be encouraged to run, walk, or wheel to raise money.
The family-friendly event is open to participants of all ages and abilities. It will include a paved 200m fun event for kids and a 5km route that is accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, and wagons.
Last year’s Run for the Kids brought in over $80,000 to support services at the Children’s Treatment Centre that are not covered by government funding, including social work, therapeutic recreation services, and music therapy.
Registration for the event has now closed. However, you can CLICK HERE to make a donation.
