
An upcoming awards banquet is set to celebrate several producers, innovators, and leaders for their contributions to the local agricultural sector.
Hosted by the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce, the 79th Rural Urban Awards will be held at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus on Thursday, featuring Ontario Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dan Tisch as guest speaker.
Individuals and businesses will be awarded in six categories, including Future Leader of the Year, Friend of Agriculture, Agriculture Innovator of the Year (Individual), Agriculture Innovator of the Year (Business), Woman of Agriculture, and Agriculturist of the Year.
All winners will be announced during the event.
The awards ceremony will kick off with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and presentation at 7 p.m.
