June 1st marked the start of Bike Month Ontario and Chatham-Kent is taking part.
The month long campaign is focused on encouraging residents to get back on their bikes and rediscover the benefits of cycling.
Genevieve Champagne, Active Transportation Coordinator for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent says..
“It’s a way to showcase our active transportation, our bike lanes, our trails . Especially now with COVID it’s ever more important to get out, and get active and be social in that manner,while social distancing. It allows families to get fresh air and still have a healthy lifestyle”.
She outlines some of the more popular trails around the municipality including The Crothers Park trail in Wallaceburg, the Rotary Eco Park in Chatham, and The TREES Trail in Ridgetown.
