The Salvation is gearing up for its Christmas Campaign, with a $450,000 goal.

Captain Stephanie Watkinson says that in addition to the kettles going out next week, the Salvation Army is also accepting applications for Food and Toy Hampers:

Watkinson says, “Applicants can apply by visiting our Wallaceburg, Chatham, or Ridgetown offices. They need to bring ID and proof of income for all family members. Then they can come in and speak to one of our case workers.”

Captain Stephanie anticipates a higher need this year because of the rising cost of hydro.

For anyone who would like to donate to the Christmas Hamper campaigns, monetary donations, food and toy hampers can be dropped off at any of the Salvation Army locations.
