The Chatham-Kent Salvation Army Chatham-Kent is running out of time to reach the Christmas campaign goal of $450,000.

With just a week before Christmas, donations are about $170,000 short of the finish line.

If you’d like to donate, the Red Kettles will be out until 2pm on Christmas Eve  in Wallaceburg and Chatham,  donations can be made on-line at www.fillthekettle.com, mailed to the head office in Chatham, or in person at any branch.

“While there is still a large amount to raise, we are hopeful that we will reach our goal,” says Captain Stephanie Watkinson, Community Ministries Director of Chatham-Kent Ministries.   “These funds are necessary to continue to meet the needs in this area throughout the year.”

Walmart Canada as made today ‘Walmart Fill the Kettle’ Day and will match donations up to $100,000 across Canada.

All funds donated throughout Chatham-Kent are used in their local area.
