Bkejwanong Territory has a new Chief.
Charles Sampson won Saturday’s election with 339 votes, beating out incumbent Dan Miskokomon, who garnered 298.
1076 valid ballots were cast for Chief with another 11 rejected.
12 members of council have also been elected: Elaine Wrightman, Marsha Miskokomon, Kennon Johnson, Lee Jacobs, Tyler White, Cody Miskokomon, Burton Kewayosh, Valarie Waboose, Ronald Soney, Neva Isaac-Sands, Bree-Ann Thompson, and Lyle Johnson.
There were 1070 valid ballots cast for council and 17 rejected.
