Local children still hoping to see jolly ol’ St. Nick will have a few chances this weekend.

The Blenheim Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade will make its way through the town’s streets beginning at 7 p.m. at Harwich Raleigh Public School.

The theme of the parade is “Our Favourite Christmas Movies” and it will include several floats from community organizations and local businesses, as well as two live marching bands. Following the parade, children will have the chance to meet Santa at Talbot Trail Place.

This year marks the 29th year of the parade which began back in the 1970s.

Meantime, Wheatley holds its own Santa Claus Parade on Saturday evening, starting at 6:30. Organized by the Wheatley Fish Festival, the parade will begin at the Wheatley Arena and make its way to Our lady of the Blessed Sacrament.
