The deadline has been extended to help ensure Chatham-Kent seniors aren’t lonely and isolated this holiday season.

In its fourth year, the Santa for Seniors campaign is collecting holiday cards and pack gifts to give to seniors living in retirement and nursing homes, as well as to those who live independently. All of the cards and presents will be delivered to local seniors the week before Christmas.

Examples of some items that can be given as gifts are toiletries, cookies, tea, puzzles, hats, gloves, stationery, and other small items.

The deadline for donations was originally set for Friday, December 15th, but has been extended to ensure there are enough gifts to hand out to as many seniors as possible.

Items can be dropped off at the TekSavvy Security Kiosk at 800 Richmond Street until 8 pm Monday December 18th.
