Sarnia Taking Over CK Animal Cruelty Investigations

After covering Lambton County for more than 60 years, the Sarnia and District Humane Society is taking over animal cruelty investigations in Chatham-Kent as well.

With two full-time agents on staff, the Sarnia SPCA Investigations unit was approached by the Ontario SPCA to expand its territory as of January first.

Executive Director Donna Pyette says their staffing levels are likely to change, given the broader geographic reach.

Anyone looking to report complaints of animal cruelty or neglect are asked to call 310-SPCA (310-7722, no area code required) or 519-384-3647.
