Hydro crews will be kept busy today after severe thunderstorm ripped across the region last night, tearing down tree branches and knocking out power to many.
Hydro One is dealing with dozens of scattered power outages across Chatham-Kent and the surrounding area, while Entegrus reported a handful of small outages in Chatham and Wallaceburg early this morning.
According to Hydro One’s Storm Centre website, some customers may not have their service restored until noon today.
Officials warn residents to stay clear of any fallen power lines. If you come across a downed line, stay at least 10 metres back and call police.
