The St Clair Catholic District School Board is pumping almost $2.5-million into upgrading some schools in the area.
Four English Catholic elementary schools in Chatham-Kent are reaping the benefit of capital improvement funding.
Christ the King in Wallaceburg will be getting a new roof to the tune of over $444,000.
Another $725,000 is being spent on various improvements to Our Lady of Fatima in Chatham, including paving, concrete sidewalks, and landscaping.
St. Anne in Blenheim will get some classroom upgrades and a new PA system.
St Michaels in Ridgetown will have a portable classroom torn down, and add some landscaping and sidewalk repairs.
As well, the Board has earmarked almost $650,000 in Greenhouse Gas Reduction funding for improvements to two schools in Sarnia.
