School may almost be out for summer, but the folks who organize student transportation in Chatham-Kent and Lambton County are already looking ahead to the fall.
Chatham-Kent Lambton Administrative School Services, or CLASS, is hiring for September, serving both the Lambton-Kent and St. Clair Catholic District School Boards.
General Manager Kent Orr says that while all training will be provided, it takes a very special kind of person to be a bus driver.
“Working with children every day and driving a school bus, you’re operating a motor vehicle. It is a large vehicle but mainly you have to be interested in working with children. You’re the first person the children see every day and the last person at the end of the day,” Orr says.
