10 charges have been laid this week as Chatham-Kent Police crackdown on school bus safety and distracted drivers.
Officers with the Traffic Unit have been keeping a close eye on school safety zones and crosswalks around the municipality.
Among the charges laid this week: speeding, driving while using a cell phone, and various license violations.
Police say safety initiatives will continue throughout the year to keep kids safe while going to and from school.
