Registered Dietitian Lyndsay Davidson says one way to make it more likely to get kids to eat their lunches is to make it DIY.

“Depending on the age of the kids, it’s always great to get your kids involved,” Davidson says. “That way they know what’s in their lunches, they have some input, and they’re actually actively getting involved in learning how to make their own lunches.”

Davidson says it’s also best to check with the school to see what sort of restrictions they place on allergens.
