Schools will be reopening Monday in several regions of the province, but Chatham-Kent is not one of them.
The province announced late today schools will only reopen as planned Monday in certain areas of Eastern and Central Ontario.
The decision made, and announced by the provinces Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams.
There was no estimate for the return to in person learning mentioned in the release.
The government had already announced schools in the hot spots like Windsor-Essex and the GTA will not reopen until February 10th at the earliest.
Schools in the following health unit jurisdictions will return to in-person learning on Monday:
Grey Bruce Health Unit
Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit
Hastings and Prince Edward Counties Health Unit
Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Health Unit
Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit
Peterborough Public Health
Renfrew County and District Health Unit
