Some 100 mm., or about four inches of rain in our region over the past couple of days has caused the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority to close the gates to the McKeough Dam to reduce the potential for flooding in Wallaceburg.
The decision to divert water to the St. Clair River was made just before 9 pm Thursday night.
The latest flood advisory will remain in effect for at least the weekend.
