The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority expects the Sydenham to flood in low lying areas over the next few days.
Officials say rainfall in excess of 30mm through Sunday and Monday will result in localized flooding.
Water levels are expected to remain extremely high in the Dresden and Wallaceburg and will remain high into the late hours of Tuesday.
