A Tilbury man has been charged after police responded to a report of a man screaming and causing a disturbance in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the disturbance on Park Avenue West on Monday at around 8:20 p.m.
When police arrived, a man tried to flee by running through several neighbouring backyards in the area. However, he was eventually caught and arrested.
Authorities said the man also provided a fake name to officers, who later determined he was wanted by the Windsor Police Service on outstanding warrants.
A 40-year-old Tilbury East Township man is now charged with obstructing the police. He was released with conditions and a future court date.
