The incoming CEO of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance wants to ensure Wallaceburg residents know she’ll be looking out for their best interests.
Lori Marshall will be taking over the reins of the hospital in March, and says proper and fair health care for all residents in Chatham-Kent is a priority.
“One of the first things that I’ll be doing as the new CEO when I come on board,” Marshall says, “is to engage both within the organization with staff and physicians and volunteers and Foundation, as well as engaging with the community to get a better understanding of the expectations, the needs that we really have.”
Marshall says while it’s too early to say what the future might hold for the Sydenham Campus, they are on the right track.
“I think the residents of Wallaceburg should recognize that the hospital has made some capitol contributions in the very recent past, and I think that signals really an investment in that particular hospital site.”
Marshall will assume her new role with the Health Alliance on March 1st, and work with interim CEO Ken Deane for a one month transitional period.
