As the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance works to address a number of issues outlined in a provincial investigation over the summer, the Wallaceburg campus is seeing some new investment.
In an update to staff, officials say nearly $750,000 has been spent on the Sydenham District Hospital over the last few months.
Projects include the installation of a new heat exchange unit to ensure there is hot water; security systems, and water testing and filters.
The statement says more updates will be coming, but the Alliance is working to be fiscally responsible on any future capital investments.
