The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is closing the book on its seasonal care clinic.

Today marks the final day of operation for the mobile trailer, which has been operating outside the emergency department at the Chatham hospital since November for treatment of coughs, cold, and flu symptoms, and other minor ailments.

Over 1500 patients have received care at the seasonal clinic since its opened, easing pressure on the Emergency Department during months that typically see increased visits for seasonal and other mild illnesses.

Anyone looking for non-emergency clinical services after today is advised to visit their family primary care provider, go to a walk-in or virtual clinic, or talk to a pharmacist. Patients can also call 8-1-1 to connect with a qualified health professional for advice or other health information 24/7. Urgent care can also be accessed online at urgentcareontario.ca.
