Second Teen Dies Following Lake St. Clair Collision

A tragic collision on Lake St. Clair has claimed another life.

The Ontario Provincial Police said a 16-year-old girl from Calgary has died in hospital following a marine collision involving a single personal watercraft near Couture Beach in Lakeshore.

Authorities said four teenage girls were rescued from the water by emergency crews at around 2 p.m. on August 14.

A 17-year-old girl from Windsor-Essex was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead from their injuries. The 16-year-old was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries but was pronounced dead on Wednesday.

The two other teenagers, aged 15 and 17, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
