The municipality is once again looking to the provincial government for help to repair a section of Grand Ave East in Chatham.

The project was put forward last year and was denied, so the municipality is re applying to the Connecting Links Program.

That’s the same program that covered the bulk of the cost for work done on a portion of Murray Street, McNaughton Avenue and Dufferin Avenue in recent years.

The project would cover work from Communications Road and Taylor Ave.

If successful, the province would kick in $3-million or 90% of the total cost, whichever is less.
