Over 800 metres of water line on Talbot Trail is being abandoned by the Public Utilities Commission.
The water line passes underground near Coatsworth Road, where Talbot Trail has been shut down because of erosion.
The decision was presented at this week’s commission meeting, and will mean the installation of a valve and new water lines for affected residents.
Work should be completed in September.
