Seeking Cash Crop Farmers

It reads like a personal ad: Master’s Student seeking cash cropping farmers.

But that’s exactly what University of Guelph student and Wallaceburg resident Erinn Lee is doing.

She’s looking at phosphorus runoff, from a policy perspective and would like to interview roughly 10-15 farmers in CK.

“When you’re developing policy, I think it’s really important to talk to people who are affected by policy and who know their farms and know how these policies would impact their farming operations,” Lee explains. “I’d love to talk to farmers about some of the ideas policy analysts came up with and see how it would impact them, what kind of programs they’d like to see, and how are incentives and programs working for them now.”

If you’re willing to help out, you can get in contact with Lee by emailing elee17@uoguelph, or calling 226-626-8669.
