Chatham-Kent’s real estate market is facing something of a housing crunch with too many buyers and not enough homes to sell.
The Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors says the number of active listings has dropped 45% this past January compared to 2016.
President Kristi Willder says there are people willing to sell, but because of a lack of inventory, they’re not sure what their next steps should be.
The average price of a home sold last month was $169,420, up about 10 percent from the year before.
