As residents celebrate with loved ones on Family Day, there will be a number of service closures across Chatham-Kent.
All municipal offices will be closed on Monday, including Service Ontario desks in Chatham and Dresden. There will be no garbage or recycling collections on the holiday, and pick-ups for the rest of the week will be delayed by a day. Waste depots will also be closed.
Ride CK public transit will be parked on Monday, resuming Tuesday morning.
The Thames Art Gallery and Chatham-Kent Museum will be open with Family Day programming 10am to 4pm. The Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and the Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool are open for free swims from 10:30am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 2:30pm on Monday.
On the health care side of things, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be running on its standard holiday schedule with limited outpatient services, including scheduled diagnostic tests. Other programs, including Ambulatory Care, outpatient rehabilitation, and the mental health and addictions program, will not be available.
Emergency Departments in both Chatham and Wallaceburg will continue to be open 24 hours a day.
