With Canada Day upon us, various municipal services and agencies will be shutting their doors for the long weekend.

Municipal offices will be shut down on Canada Day, including the Health and Family Services building, Entegrus, and the PUC.

Most arts and culture venues will be closed, with the exception of the Milner House in Chatham, which will be holding its Dominion Day celebration from 11am-4pm.

All Ride CK Transit buses will be parked on Friday, resuming July 2nd.

There will be no garbage or recycling collections on Friday, pushing regular pick-ups to Saturday.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be running on its standard holiday schedule with reduced services in Chatham and Wallaceburg. Most out-patient clinics will be shut down on Friday, including the COVID-19 assessment centre at the corner of Grand Avenue and St Clair Street in Chatham. Emergency departments in Chatham and Wallaceburg remain open 24 hours a day.
