An almost year-long investigation into human remains found on Walpole Island has led to another arrest.
On the strength of a Canada-wide warrant, officers arrested a 21-year-old North York resident last Thursday, charged with first degree murder.
The victim, Oyebode Oyenuga was reported missing in Windsor in February 2021, and his body discovered on Walpole Island March 17th, 2021.
Six other suspects have been arrested in the case, including four charged with first degree murder, one with weapons offences, and another for being an accessory after the fact.
The investigation involving Lambton OPP, Walpole Island Police Service, and the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch remains ongoing.
