Local residents will have lots to keep them busy this weekend with several family events taking place throughout Chatham-Kent.
The Thamesville Threshing Festival kicks off on Friday with midway rides, food trucks and vendors at Ferguson Park starting at 5 p.m. The annual parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. followed by live music at 9 p.m. The festival continues on Saturday with more live music and family activities, all culminating with a fireworks show in the evening. The Pain Court Truck and Tractor Pull takes place under the water tower tonight. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the event getting underway at 6:30 p.m. Aside from the main event, there will also be a bouncy castle for kids and live entertainment on the big stage.
The 12th Annual Blenheim Classics Auto Show will also take place on Saturday, attracting over 100 classic and vintage vehicles to the downtown core, along with thousands of car buffs. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Additional information can be found on the event website.
