Andrew Scheer is the new leader of the Federal Conservatives, and local representatives think he’s a good fit.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Bev Shipley says the 38-year-old Ottawa native knows what life is like for working class Canadians:
“He’s a guy that’s grounded he’s a guy that has had to worry about making house payments and car payments and those sorts of things, so when he talks about middle income, that’s where he grew up in.”
Local MP Monte McNaughton Chaired Scheer’s Ontario Campaign, and Shipley says it went well, showing support across the region.
