The Chatham-Kent Economic Development department and the Small Business Centre have released the Top 10 reasons to shop local this holiday season.
Some of the top reasons are that local businesses can provide better customer service and you can save on shipping by purchasing from a small business and avoid shipping delays.
Other benefits include helping to create jobs that support local families, and improving the local economy.
The Small Business Centre is running a Shop Chatham-Kent campaign starting on December first which will highlight a curated selection of local businesses offering time-limited discounts and specials.
