A new set of Lake Erie development policies is being discussed by the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority.
The board is being asked to approve the new set of policies, which are aimed at curtailing new development close to the lake edge, and limiting expansion of existing homes and buildings.
The policy was approved in principal at the Chatham-Kent Council meeting last week.
If approved, the policies go into effect immediately until the municipality receives the broader shoreline strategy in March.
