
A Chatham woman will have to answer a judge in court after she allegedly struck a vehicle with a shovel.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Princess Street North in Chatham shortly before 9 a.m. on Monday.
Authorities arrived to find a woman holding a shovel, which had been used to cause damage to a vehicle. Following a brief chase, the suspect was arrested.
A 40-year-old Chatham woman is now charged with mischief under $5,000. She was later released with a future court date.
