The local Catholic school board is set to showcase a transition program next month that aims to help support students with disabilities as they transition to the workplace.

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is hosting an information night at the Jerry McCaw Family Centre YMCA in Sarnia on February 13, which will highlight Project SEARCH.

The school-to-work transition program, designed for students with intellectual or communication disabilities, offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience through various internships.

Project SEARCH is hosted in partnership with the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario and the Goodwill Career Centre.

The upcoming information night will include a presentation about the program, a chance to meet the team, and a tour of the internship facilities.

The event is open to everyone. Registration can be completed by clicking here.
