New leadership is coming to St Clair College.
The Board of Governors has announced Michael Silvaggi has been named the school’s 7th President.
Officials say the appointment follows an extensive nationwide search to replace Patti France, who has held the post since 2015.
Silvaggi has been with the college since November 2000, when he started as a clerk in the Accounts Payable department. Since then, he moved through various roles, including Associate Registrar and Associate Vice President, Student Services and Registrar. In April 2022, Michael was appointed Vice President, Academic and Registrar.
“Michael Silvaggi embodies the core values of St. Clair College – ‘excellence in all he does’ and ‘transforming lives and strengthening communities’,” said Jean Piccinato, Chair of the St. Clair College Board of Governors. “His leadership is expected to usher in a new era of prosperity for the College and the broader community.”
Silvaggi will officially take over as President on June 1, 2024.
St. Clair College educates over 16,000 full-time students on Windsor, Chatham, and the GTA campuses.
