The province’s police watchdog is looking into an arrest in Lambton County last spring.
According to the Special Investigations Unit, members of the Lambton detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of intimate partner violence in Corunna just before 8 o’clock the evening of May 25, 2025. One person was taken into custody, but authorities say a subsequent medical evaluation found the accused sustained an injury during the arrest.
OPP officials will not be able to provide any further details now that the SIU has invoked its mandate.
