A group of co-workers is celebrating a big windfall.
The material department staff have been playing the lottery together for a few years and recently won $57,992.10, taking second prize in the April 16th Lotto Max draw.
Donald Buchanan heads up the lotto-sharing group, which also includes Amanda Legroulx of Blenheim, Jennifer Moreland of Chatham, Robert Fox of Blenheim, Ronald Nead of Chatham, and Terisa Dudar of Chatham.
“I bought this ticket on my way home from work the night before the draw,” Buchanan says. “When I found out about the win, I waited until Monday when I went into work to share the news with the rest of the group. I sent them a screenshot of the winning amount, then told them all to look at their phones. They were thrilled!”
No one has any specific plans for their share of the prize yet.
The winning ticket was purchased at Grand Mini Mart in Chatham.
