Local bedding retailer Sleep Country is giving back to the community.
The company is supporting nine Chatham-Kent families with 20 new mattresses and linens.
CEO Christine Magee says it’s part of a broader social responsibility.
“Bedding is home, so it’s a natural thing for us for us to consider the needs of women and children in that regard,” says Magee. “It has always been our mandate and I think we’re happy to do something where we can make a difference.”
Over 43,000 mattresses were donated last year through recycling program
The company is also launching its PJs and Storybooks program, collecting items for families in need to help create better bedtimes.
