Freezing rain, black ice, and more is all in the forecast a little later today. 
A special weather statement is calling for light snow this morning, followed by a quick switch to freezing rain early this afternoon. The rain will then turn to drizzle later in the afternoon as the temperatures rise.
However, Environment Canada Meteorologist Marie-Eve Giguere says things are going to be improving.
“After this system comes in, we’l head back to seasonal temperatures through Sunday when our next system moves in,” Giguere says.
Normal highs for this time of year are just above the freezing point.
