Smile Cookies Return to Support CK Charities

Charities in Chatham-Kent will be getting a boost with the return of the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign.

The annual campaign begins today and runs April 27 through May 3, with 100 per cent of the cost of each Smile Cookie purchase donated to charities and community groups.

Locally, the money from Smile Cookies purchased in Tim Hortons restaurants in Chatham, Wallaceburg, and Dresden will support the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent.

Tim Hortons in Blenheim, Bothwell, Thamesville, Ridgetown, and Mill Street in Tilbury are supporting the VON Student Nutrition Program, and proceeds from Smile Cookies purchased at the 401 On Route service centres near Tilbury will benefit Boys and Girls Club of Chatham-Kent.

The Smile Cookie program began in 1996 to help raise funds for the Hamilton Children’s Hospital in Ontario.

Last year, the Smile Cookie campaign raised a record-breaking $22.6 million, supporting over 600 charities and community groups across Canada and in the United States.
