Another local event is being affected by COVID restrictions.
Officials with the Soccer Dogs 3 on 3 tournament say the unknowns of the pandemic and moving dates has led to low registration in some divisions, and the event is being scrapped for this year.
This year’s event was originally slated to run May 29th, but was postponed a number of times and most recently was expected to take place July 24th.
Officials say anyone who registered and had already paid will have their money refunded shortly.
The tournament serves as a fundraiser for CK Hospice and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Organizers say they look forward to reviving the event in the spring of 2022.
