A Wallaceburg man is facing charges after allegedly threatening his parents and injuring his mother.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Wallaceburg residence on Dufferin Avenue for a family dispute on Sunday at around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities learned that the man had allegedly flipped a glass top table towards his mother, severely injuring her leg, and also threw his mother to the ground, severely injuring her further. He also allegedly threatened to kill both his mother and father.

The 51-year-old accused was arrested and is now charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of utter death threats, one count of mischief under $5,000, and one count of mischief to prevent lawful enjoyment of property. He was held pending a bail hearing.
