With the big RM 40th Anniversary event coming up this weekend, Sons of Kent is releasing a limited edition beer to celebrate.

RM Sotheby’s officials say it’s available only in limited quantities and while supplies last. The beer, dubbed “RM 40 Classic Lager”, will be available in six-packs for $19.50 at Sons of Kent in Downtown Chatham beginning Friday, 21 June at 12 noon, with the first few packs being sold by Rob Myers, RM Sotheby’s Founder, Chairman & CEO.

The beer will also be available on draft at Sons of Kent and the Chilled Cork Restaurant & Lounge, as well as in single cans at various locations through the 40th Anniversary weekend, including the Sam Roberts Band concert in Tecumseh Park on Friday.

The can’s design incorporates the original RM Auto Restoration sign, a nod to the past and where Rob began, rounded out by the inclusion of the Ferrari 250 GTO, which sold at RM Sotheby’s 2018 Monterey auction for $48.4 million, becoming the most valuable car ever sold at auction to date—a nod to the present and what’s to come. Starting with a rust look and moving into a beautifully restored finish, along with the addition of the number 40 on the car door, the designer sought to reflect 40 years of hard work and team building that brought RM Sotheby’s and RM Auto Restoration to where they are today.

The event kicks off on Friday. A list of all the weekend’s festivities can be found on the RM’s 40th Anniversary website.
