The Lambton Kent District School Board is filing results from the recent online ThoughtExchange survey under the “nice to know” category.
Superintendent Gary Girardi says that while the province takes a closer look at pupil accommodation review guidelines this fall, the survey results still provide some key information moving forward.
“Our message is that we’ve reduced greatly in population of our student enrollment and that has an effect on us as a board, because our funding is tied to that,” says Girardi. “So having these discussions is necessary, but the more opportunity we give the people in our communities to participate and contribute, the more we learn the better we are able to move forward together.
Almost 750 people took part in the online questionnaire, which gathered input on the future of schools in Blenheim, Ridgetown, Tilbury, and south Chatham.
