Special Air Quality Statement for Chatham-Kent

High levels of air pollution are expected day, according to Environment Canada.

Officials say people with cardiovascular disease are sensitive to air pollution, along with children and teenagers with asthma. There are also health concerns for those with breathing problems, diabetes, and the elderly.

They say anyone experiencing symptoms such as coughing or throat irritation should limit outdoor activities until the air quality statement is lifted.
